smart road assistance gives you the reassurance you need should your smart encounter an accident, breakdown, minor mishap, or vandalism. If your smart encounters any problems, smart road assistance ensures to get you back on your smart adventure. Quality customer assistance, on-the-spot repairs, replacement car and hotel accommodation are just some of the benefits we offer.
All smarts registered* on or after 1 November 2014, will benefit from smart road assistance for three years. After this time, your smart road assistance will be automatically renewed for a year every time your smart goes in for an official smart service for up to 30 years.

Roadside assistance.
Covers minor on-the-spot repairs up to €150 incl. VAT (this does not include further material costs for tyres, batteries, keys, fluids and consumables).
Technician's journey to and from the site of the breakdown.
Covers the technician's costs of transport to and from the site of the breakdown.
Recovery service.
Vehicle towed to the nearest authorised smart service partner (or alternatively to the customer’s preferred authorised smart service partner within a distance of 50 km).
Organisational assistance.
If necessary, the smart customer centre can provide organisational assistance, e.g. by arranging a translator or legal advisor.
Hotel.
Accommodation (hotel room incl. breakfast) for driver and passengers for the duration of the repair – up to 3 working days (max. €400 incl. VAT per person)*

Stay mobile.
Replacement vehicle.
Replacement vehicle provided for the duration of the repair – up to 3 working days.
Taxi, chauffeur service and public transport.
Use of taxi, chauffeur service or public transport up to €75 incl. VAT* or chauffeur service up to max. 50 km.

Plane and train
Instead of a replacement vehicle, coverage of costs for plane or train tickets up to €400 (incl. VAT)*
for driver and passengers.

So that you're never apart for very long.
Vehicle return service
Return of vehicle to the authorised local smart service partner if the nearest smart service partner to the breakdown site cannot repair the vehicle within 3 working days.
Vehicle pick-up service
Within a radius of up to 50 km from the authorised smart service partner.
